Foster and Kardane Motors, Inc. began doing business at our current location in 1958. The Dealership opened with the Chrysler Franchise. Later on, the Jeep and MG Franchises were added. In 1979, MG stopped importing vehicles into this country, although, Foster and Kardane Motors, Inc. continues to service and stock parts for these vehicles to this day.
In 1987, Chrysler Corp. bought AMC Jeep and in 1998, Daimler Benz bought Chrysler Corp. forming one large entity. From that point through today, Daimler Chrysler began an operation called "Project Alpha" which would consolidate smaller dealerships into large, volume dealerships. In July, 2003, Leonard Kardane, who has always concentrated on having the best service technicians and low hourly customer service labor rates, decided it was in the best interest of our loyal customers to maintain the family owned, service oriented way of doing business that our customers have come to expect, and decided to sell the Chrysler/Jeep Franchises rather than become a large volume oriented dealership.
You can be assured that we are still owned only by Leonard Kardane, we have the same highly skilled, customer oriented Sales, Service and Parts staff, and we continue to offer the lowest hourly labor rates in the area. We also continue to service and stock parts for Chrysler/Jeep and MG vehicles and we now have the capability to service and provide parts for all makes and models.
